Wow, another amazing summer wrapped up! Our busiest and best one yet! Lots of happy guests, lots of fish, lots of good eating to be had! A huge THANK YOU to our 2019 crew! We are already getting excited for 2020! But first, we are on the Columbia River fishing Rainbow Trout in Genelle BC, come and join us in the off season!
We’re happy to re-assure you that Kyuquot Sound is open all season!
As some of you may have heard (or will hear about very soon) there have been a lot of changes with the BC fishing limits this year.
Kyuquot Inshore – Open all season! Chinook limits remain at 2/day. (In other words, Spring Island is open and Thorton Island is open.)
Kyuquot offshore – Open for all species, other than Chinook non-retention April – July 14th. We can still fish Halibut, Coho and Lingcod offshore at this time, then fish Spring Island/Thorton for our Chinook, until July 15th when offshore re-opens.
Kyuquot Halibut Fishing – Limits remain at 1 per day, but you may keep a possession limit of 2 if you choose the smaller size. You can either keep one larger Halibut (between 90 cm and 126 cm, up to approx 60lbs) or 2 smaller Halibut (up to 90 cm, approx. 12lbs).
Kyuquot Lingcod Fishing – Remains the same: 2/day and up to 4 possession.
The Columbia River has some epic fly fishing for Rainbow Trout! Come and join Matt this April & early May just south of Castlegar on the river! Matt was out all last week and had some big number days and big fish.. it really is a hidden gem.
You can even retain 2 trout per day and up to 16 walleye !
